Reprap Rast

A Repstrap built in an Ikea Rast nightstand. Tuesday, January 11, 2011. New Z axis couplers and hot bed mount. The PLA is a bit brittle and as I tightened the screws, I heard a bunch of cracking. It seemed to hold for a bit, but then later the couplers just slid off of the Z motor shafts. You can see the cracking in the couplers in the following pics. I still need to find connectors with sufficient ratings to connect the bed to the electronics.

RepRap Prescription

I have a fever, and the only cure is more RepRap. 3D Printing and spray painting large multi-part model. Beautiful owl statue by cushwa. Preparing the model for printing. I sliced it with Slic3r. Printing the middle part on my trusty Mendel90. I printed with scraps of remaining plastic, which was a bit of a bad idea.
